Welcome Back to all and Farewell to Mike

We are opening today Thursday 24th February and we very much look forward to seeing all our lovely customers again we have missed you.

Also a sad farewell to one of our best customers or more accurately friend who after over a year of coming to Massaro’s has just made the long trip back to Australia. Mike we are pleased to say popped in a few days ago to say his goodbyes and we will very much miss his visits to Massaro’s. Mike loved his coffee and his knowledge on the subject and appreciation of what Massaro’s is about was a regular lift for us on days when we needed one. Also as we don’t get out much from the shop it was great to get regular updates of all our favourite specialist coffee shops in London which Mike luckily got to visit more often than we do. Good luck Mike with your plans in Australia. Anyone who knew Mike from meeting him at Massaro’s please feel free to leave a comment here.

So, we have been busy revamping the place and by the time you read this you would have probably seen the changes. We hope you like and also there have been developments on the menu front. There are more to come and whilst we will never be the cheapest place in town we will always have what we believe in - being real food and coffee, produced, roasted, grown or reared by people who care about their product and how it affects other people, animals and the environment and we will strive to offer this in the best value way as possible. Those of you who have got to know us over the last few years will know that we cannot do things any other way and that these strong beliefs on food and coffee production are core to why we do what we do but equally important is that our customers are enjoying it and that if nothing else you are tasting the difference.

Our record on keeping blogs up to date has been well let’s just say very dubious but we hope to keep this one going and as much as being a way of keeping up to date with what we offer it will also hopefully be a place for anyone to find out more about the wider issues of food and its production as well as other places to check out as we love to shout out about and share other great places we love.

  1. Thanks guys, breaking my heart I'm not around for the "newmassaros" experience. Been great being home but am now appreciating the level of coffee I was fortunate enough to have on a regular basis. Hope all is going well.
